Integrated

At Montmorency Primary School, students are provided with diverse, engaging and challenging learning experiences that explore both the natural and social worlds. When possible, we take an integrated approach, connecting subjects to create meaningful links. This approach, known as ‘Integrated Studies,’ is drawn from the Victorian Curriculum Learning Areas such as Science, History, Geography, Economics, Civics and Citizenship, Health and Design and Digital Technologies.

Students are encouraged to develop a deep understanding of key concepts that underpin each topic. Throughout each unit, students engage with significant questions that inspire reflection on the world around them.

To meet the varied interests and abilities of our students, teachers at Montmorency Primary School differentiate instruction, allowing students to explore their passions and share their learning in different ways. Our aim is to nurture collaboration, as well as critical and creative thinking skills.
